Maritime Structures

Marine art, Maritime paintings, and nautical drawings including studies along the coast including the banks of the Thames showing the neglected structures of the maritime and commercial past of river and ocean as well as some seaside views – in a wide range of media to show vibrant colour and nature as well as structure, shape and form.

Living close to the Thames and owning a motorhome means access to a wide range of marine subjects and maritime structures – the more they are covered in rust and peeling paint and algae, the better. They provide a wide scope for different media and techniques (or mixtures thereof) . In addition to conventional paint and pencils, pastels and crayons, there is opportunity to use cut-out forms as well as applied materials such as string and chain etc. I am also pleased to attend art groups to do demonstrations and workshops on this type of picture-making
